I can’t say enough good things about this family-run business! From the very first call, they were friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about getting my home comfortable again. They arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and got my air conditioning up and running quickly. You can tell they’ve been doing this since 1989—their knowledge and expertise really show. I also love that they offer heating equipment and filters, so they’re my one-stop shop for year-round comfort. Superior customer care at its best! The system was installed for my company but when my team and I took occupancy it was not cooling properly. Zak and his techs were dedicated to solving the problem. Several attempts and visits were made to the location and every time Ishmael (technician) came with a smile on his face to see what was going on. Finally… we have a cool showroom!!! BOY, I can't recommend these guys enough!! I had an annual service agreement with Barbosa which cost $165 a year to check my a/c and heat. They came out this week to do the a/c checkup and said my capacitor was at lower limits and they could replace it if I wanted for around $485.00. I looked at prices for the capacitors while they were here and they retail for like $17.00! I called the office and they said they could discount it to like $385 and that was while the techs were here and had them on the truck! I got really annoyed and told them no thanks. So, I called around and found that most companies offer that item including the climb up to the roof to replace for $360 and up. I got lucky and called Quality 1 and spoke with Daisy on the phone and she quoted $168 for one so I said come on out which they did two days later with two really awesome and honest techs. She actually under quoted by $30 because the capacitor was a little larger than they thought but their tech Jose said they would honor the $168. I am letting go of Barbosa and using Quality 1 to do just an annual "checkup" which is just basically to check that things are functioning normally once a year before the Summer heat which costs $68.00. This is the service they provide for that price and you need to call every year to schedule: Cooling Tune-Up (Air Conditioner/Heat Pump) Inspect and clean condenser coil Check refrigerant levels and pressures Inspect and tighten electrical connections Test thermostat operation Inspect and clean blower components Check air filter (replace if customer provides one) Measure and verify proper airflow Test system startup and shutdown Check and record temperature differential Inspect condensate drain for clogs Check capacitor and contactor condition Please note this is not a membership and customer will need to call us at 214-348-9588 to schedule. Quality 1 recently installed two exterior and interior units for us. From the initial contact though install, we found theirs to be a transparent and professional experience. From providing multiple system/budget options to responsive install scheduling, it was a smooth process end to end.
